Antes simplemente lo llamábamos invitaciones pero ahora, debido a su gran popularidad, se ha adoptado el termino anglosajón «Save the date» (Reserva la fecha) para hacer referencia al día que hemos elegido para la celebración de nuestro enlace. Para conseguir sorprender a los invitados los novios pueden organizar un photoshoot con su fotógrafo favorito (normalmente el mismo que para nuestra boda) con la inspiración que más se ciña a nuestra celebración. Lo demás dependerá de vuestra imaginación y las ganas de montar una buena «producción» como si de una editorial de moda se tratase!!!

We used to simply call them invitations but now due to their popularity we have adopted the anglo-saxon term “Save the date” to refer to the day you have chosen to celebrate your wedding. To surprise the guests you can organize a photo shoot with your favourite photographer (usually the same one you will use for your wedding) and one with the inspiration that most fits your celebration. The rest depends on your imagination and the desire you have to mount a great production as if it was a fashion editorial.

If you are going to marry close to the sea, it can be a seaside photo sessión, or in the countryside if you will celebrate in a rustic setting or cosmopolitan if it is to be a city wedding.
Una vez tenemos nuestra sesión, solo se tratará de elegir (¡buena suerte, jajaja) la foto que más os guste a ambos para convertirla en la invitación a la que después, vosotros mismos o un profesional del diseño, podréis añadir texto con tipografías actuales y grafismos hasta que os quede como más os guste…

Once you’ve had the sessión, it only remains to chose (good luck…) the photo you both like the most and turn it into an invitation which you or a professional designer, can then add modern text and graphics until it is exactly as you want it.
