Después de la ceremonia de nuestra boda llega el momento de reunir a nuestros invitados y compartir juntos lo que conocemos como banquete de bodas. Y nos asalta la primera duda ¿almuerzo o cena? Es una pregunta relativamente fácil de responder, eso va a depender de si nos casamos por la mañana o por la tarde. Si nos casamos por la mañana lo más lógico es que celebremos una comida a continuación, y si la ceremonia es por la tarde, evidentemente será una cena. Si nos asaltan dudas de si organizar un almuerzo o un ágape nocturno deberemos reflexionar sobre ciertos puntos: la estación del año, el lugar donde tendrá lugar, cómo son nuestros invitados, si va a durar un solo día o más, si predomina gente joven o mayor, si somos más de la fiesta y el baile o por contra no tanto. Factores que nos pueden dar una buena pista de la mejor decisión.
After our wedding ceremony it’s time to join our guests and share together what is known as the wedding feast. And the first doubt assails us? Lunch or dinner? It is a relatively easy question to answer, that will depend on whether we get married in the morning or afternoon. If we get married in the morning it makes sense to celebrate a meal afterwards and if the ceremony is in the afternoon, it will obviously be a dinner. If we have doubts on whether to organize a lunch or an evening meal we have to reflect on certain points: the time of year, where it will take place, whether it will last a day or more, who are our guests, whether they are young or predominantly older, if we prefer a party and dance or something different. These are factors that can give us a good clue to the best decision.
Almuerzo / Lunch
Si nuestro enlace se va a celebrar en otoño o invierno no es nada descabellado pensar que es mejor elegir un banquete diurno para aprovechar al máximo las horas de luz de los cortos días de invierno. Podemos celebrar igualmente un baile con música en las instalaciones donde nos encontremos, en el mismo salón o uno adyacente habilitado para ello.
If our wedding is to take place in the autumn or winter it is not unreasonable to think that it is best to choose a daytime banquet to maximize daylight hours of the short winter days. We can also hold a dance with music on the site we choose. Either in the same room or an adjoining one set up especially for this.
De ser así mejor programar la ceremonia hacia las 11 de la mañana para tener tiempo suficiente para realizar las fotos además de desplazarnos hasta el sitio donde tendrá lugar el banquete. Podremos servir platos más consistentes y propios de épocas más frías.
If this is the choice, it is best to programme the ceremony around 11am to allow time for the photos as well as getting to the area where the banquet will take place. We can serve delicious dishes consistent with the colder weather.
