Claire y Richad unos novios felices y una boda divertida

Si por algo destacaba esta pareja era por las ganas de casarse y lo felices que parecían. Desde las primeras reuniones siempre haciendo bromas y de muy buen humor. Vamos, una pareja inglesa feliz, contenta y con muchas ganas de disfrutar su amor.

Marga fue la wedding planner que pudo disfrutar de la organización de su boda y nos contaba día a día anécdotas graciosas que le iban ocurriendo.

En una de las primeras reuniones, como es habitual, hicieron una ruta por las fincas de Mallorca para elegir el lugar del enlace y banquete. Nuestra compañera Marga dedico todo el día a visitar las diferentes zonas de la isla hasta llegar al atardecer a Son Marroig. Y como era de esperar… se enamoraron de las vistas.

What was impressive with this couple, was their desire to get married and how happy they looked. Since the first meeting, they were joking all the time and they were always in a good mood. An English couple who really wanted to enjoy their romance.

Marga, the wedding planner, she took care of the organization of the wedding and she gave us an update of all the fanny anecdotes happened day by day.

During the first meetings, as usual, they visited some country houses of Mallorca, in order to choose the location for the ceremony and for the banquet. Our colleague Marga spent all day long visiting the different areas of the island and finally, in the evening, they arrived in Son Marroig. As we imagined, they felt in love with the wonderful view.

Solo había un pequeño problema, ellos querían casarse un miércoles y los miércoles la finca permanece cerrada. Mientras paseaban tranquilamente admirando el mediterráneo casualmente se encontraron con el propietario. Los novios al enterarse de que era el propietario acabaron pidiéndole por favor que les diera permiso; y con el buen rollo que desprendían allí arrodillados en el suelo y haciendo uso de su mejor castellano… fue aquí donde Marga saco sus mejores armas y consiguió que esta pareja tuviera su espectacular boda un miércoles del pasado mes de Julio.

Nos hubiera encantado presenciar la escena, Marga nos contó que fue un rato con muchas risas y muy gracioso. Y nos lo creemos porque una novia tan risueña como Claire no se ve todos los días.

There was just one problem: they wanted to get married on Wednesday, but on Wednesday the house is closed. But, walking around the property, they met the owner by chance, and when they realized he was the owner, they asked him for permission in a very funny way: they knelt before him and they talked to him with their very basic Spanish… At that point, Marga took advantage of the situation and finally she succeeded in arranging their wedding for Wednesday last July.

We would like to have been there for that performance, because Marga told us that was really funny and all of them laughed a lot. We can believe it, because it’s not so usual to have a bride so cheerful as Claire.

La pareja y familia se alojaron en el Hotel de Sa Pedrissa, no muy lejos de la finca (1,1km) y sus 60 invitados de la boda que venían de Inglaterra, entre Deià y Puerto de Sóller.

The couple and all their 150 guests came from England, and they stayed at the Hotel Sa Pedrisa, not far from the country house (1,1km).

Y fue allí donde las bridesmaids y la novia hicieron los últimos preparativos como el maquillaje, el peinado por parte de Marcos de Fornalutx, los vestidos…

Fue su padre, ese señor tan sonriente, el encargado de acompañar a la novia al altar. Ella le puso en la solapa un prendido a juego con su ramo (peonias y paniculata) y con el de bridesmaids y la flowergirl que llevaba una corona de paniculata también.

Her father, a very cheerful man, was the person in charge of bringing the bride to the altar. She put flowers in the buttonhole of his jacket (peony and paniculata) which matched with her bouquet and with that of the bridesmaids and flowergirl who had on the top of her head a garland of paniculata too.

Claire, una persona espontánea, risueña, con muchas ganas de disfrutar de su día, llevaba un vestido de pliegues por la parte del pecho y un espectacular escote en la espalda. Eligio unas sandalias preciosas en color rosa metalizado.

Claire, a natural and cheerful person, who radiated happiness on her special day, wore a very nice dress with some pleats on the top and an amazing cleavage in the back. Her sandals in metallic pink were beautiful.

Richard, el novio, opto por un aspecto casual. Aunque llevaba traje de pantalón y chaleco, no se puso ni americana ni corbata. Un estilo muy acertado para Mallorca en Julio. no nos gusta ver a nuestros novios sudando entre los nervios y el calor de verano ; ) El prendido era a juego con los ramos y el de su suegro.

Richard, the groom, chose a casual look. Even though he wore a suit with a waistcoat, he wore neither jacket nor tie. A very convenient look for Mallorca on July. We don’t like to see our guests sweating either for heat or for nervousness ;

His buttonhole matched that of his father in law.

Antes de que llegaran los invitados preparamos una pequeña mesa con limonada para que pudrieran refrescarse (todos sabemos el calor que hace en Mallorca en esa época del año)

Claire quería que unos pompones formaran parte de la decoración aquel día. Así que nuestro compañero Fernando se subió a un árbol para colgar los pompones en el pasillo que iba al altar por donde pasaron la novia y su padre, las bridesmaids y la flowergirl. Para la ceremonia colocamos nuestros banquitos de chillo out blancos.

Before the guests arrived, we prepared a small table with lemonade to cool off, because we all know how hot can be Mallorca at that time of year.

Claire wanted some pompoms in the decoration, so our colleague Fernando climbed a tree and hang some pompoms along the path the Bridal party would follow. We draped a bench in white linen for the ceremony.

La ceremonia fue muy alegre y divertida como los novios. En un entorno idílico como es la finca de Son Marroig, con su cúpula, su estanque, las vistas al mar…

The ceremony was funny and nice, like the bride and the groom are. The location was idyllic: Son Marroig house, the dome, the pond, the sea views…

Como veis en las fotos los invitados eran jóvenes y guapos. La mayoría eran amigos que venían desde Inglaterra para celebrar ese día.

As you can see in the pictures, the guests were young and beautiful. Most of the guests were friends from England.

Para el pasillo post ceremonia preparamos unos conos con pétalos de rosas para que los invitados tirasen a los novios y como hacia mucho calor colocamos una bandeja con abanicos personalizados. For the little path after the ceremony, we prepared some cones with petals of roses, so the guests could throw them to the bride and to the groom and, since it was really hot, we put also a tray with some customized fans. Para la ceremonia y posterior coctel, contratamos a un trío de cuerda que amenizo suavemente la tarde hasta la cena. Y el catering fue por parte de The Cutting Edge, que prepararon unos entrantes para compartir (tapas haciendo un guiño a Mallorca) y un plato principal como referencia a Inglaterra. El porrón fue el protagonista de la cena, todos los invitados querían probar el vino dulce que trajo el catering. Además, montamos una cocina abierta con show coocking con una guirnalda de luces que quedó fantástica con la puesta de sol.

A string trio played throughout the ceremony and cocktail, making the evening before dinner more pleasant. The catering was by The Cutting Edge, who prepared some snacks (a kind of tapas, since we are in Mallorca) and the main dish to represent England. The glass wine jar was the main attraction of the party, because all guests wanted to taste the sweet wine brought by the catering. Plus, we arranged an open-air kitchen with show cooking with garlands of lights which was fantastic at the sunset.

La decoración de la cena consistió en una mesa presidencial rectangular y las de los invitados fueron circulares. Nuestro secretillo: nos gustan mucho las mesas circulares porque así los invitados pueden mantener conversaciones entre todos sin que nadie se quede en una esquina de la mesa. Si fluye la conversación fluye la diversión ; )

For the dinner we set up one presidential table and round tables for the guests. Our little secret: we like very much round tables, so all the guests can talk easily and nobody remain at the corner of the table. When the conversation flows, fun flows too ; )

Sillas blancas, manteles crema y una decoración floral de lo más exquisita a base de botellitas vintage con peonias, paniculata y rosas de jardín. Todo en tonos pastel y blancos.

White chairs, cream-colored tablecloths and a very nice flower decorations made of small vintage bottles with peonies, paniculatas and roses. All of that in pastel and white colors.

En cada plato colocamos unas estrellitas con el nombre de cada invitado que iban a juego con el bajoplato dorado y los numero de mesa eran antiguas baldosas pintadas a mano que trajeron los novios desde Inglaterra. Una maleta que hizo de tableplan y un caballete a juego como libro de firmas. ¡Todo precioso!

n each plate we put a little star with the name of the guests, the stars matched with the golden under-plates. The number of the tables was written on ancient floor tiles hand decorated, that the bride and the groom brought from England.

The book for the signatures was made by a suitcase based on an easel. Everything wonderful!

Fue una cena divertidísima con discursos de las damas de honor, el novio, padrino… Bailaron hasta latas horas de la noche, una noche preciosa llena de estrellas.

The dinner was really nice, there was also the speech of the bridesmaids, the groom, the groomsman…
