    Before the wedding:

    1. Help the couple to plan their wedding. Make yourself available to help in whatever is needed but without wanting to decide everything. It is sufficient to guide them and give your opinions but always let them make their own decisions.

    1. You will be one of the fortunate to see the wedding dress before the wedding. Brides like to be supported when they first try on dresses and you are there for them. Advise her as if she is your daughter, she will be from now on. Pay attention to her figure and try to advise her on a dress that will best suit her shape.
    1. If the bride decides that her bridesmaids or pages wear a palette of similar colors this will also be the responsibility of the maid of honor. She will make sure that all of the bridesmaids follow exactly the bride’s ideas of styles for this day. Hairdos, dresses, assessories…all perfect. This will be your work. For certain don’t forget the bouquets and to give the rings to the pages just before they give them to the bride and groom.
    1. Depending on the involvement that you want to to have at the wedding , you can also organise the goodbye party. This all depends on the confidence you have with the bride and it is always a lovely detail.
    1. The car of the couple also is up to you. You are in charge of decorating it and it is perfect for this day. The decoration and the cleaning. We don’t mean that you have to do this but that you will make the arrangements to have it done..

El día de la boda:

    The day of the wedding:

    1. You will be the mot observed after the bride so chose your outfit and fascinator with care. Its not recommended that you wear very bright colors because you don’t want to take the limelight off the bride.
    1. You will accompany the groom to the altar. That means you will have to know the adequate words to say to relax and anímate him before the ceremony. Tell him that everything will come out alright and that you will be there for all that is needed.
    1. After the ceremony, it is the job of the maid of honor to organize the bridesmaids and pages to hand out the rice or rose petals to the guests. You know that there is a tradition of throwing rice at the newlyweds at the door of the church, registrar or city hall.
    1. At the banquet you can help the bride to give out gifts to the guests and thank them for coming. Above all when they are family weddings there are those on the side of the bride greeted by you and The groom and best man will do the same with the male guests.
    1. If you are enthusiastic you can participate in initiating the tradition of cutting the train. This consists in joining the friends of the bride and that one of them cuts the train of the bride in various pieces. The pieces are passed from table to table and the people that accept a piece to remember leave money in a tray.
